AI Policy
This policy explains how Bushido Vault Limited (“BushidoPay”, “we”, “us”) uses artificial intelligence, and the commitments we make about it — especially where your personal or company data is involved. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. Our approach
We use AI to make BushidoPay faster and more useful — never as a substitute for human judgement, and never at the expense of your data. Our rule is simple: AI works for you on the minimum data necessary, under our control, with a person accountable for every decision that matters.
2. Where we use AI
- Preparing your tailored proposal. When you complete our enquiry wizard, we use an AI model to draft an illustrative funding proposal from the answers you chose to give us — your sector, capacity, objectives and contact details.
- Drafting and analysis. We may use AI tools internally to help draft content and analyse our own business information.
We do not use AI to scrape, monitor or infer information about you or your company beyond what you provide to us directly.
3. Your data and AI
Where your data touches an AI system, we commit to the following:
- Minimum necessary data. Only the information needed for the specific task is processed — nothing else.
- Reputable providers, contractually bound. We use established enterprise AI services under data-processing terms, in line with our Privacy Policy.
- No training on your data. Our AI providers process your data only to produce the response we asked for. We do not permit your data to be used to train AI models.
- Never sold. We do not sell your data — to AI companies or anyone else.
- No special-category data. Our AI features are not designed to collect or process sensitive personal data, and we ask you not to include any in free-text fields.
4. Human oversight and decisions
No decision with legal or similarly significant effect — including whether we enter into a facility with you, its value, or its terms — is made solely by AI. AI-generated proposals are illustrative openings to a conversation; every facility is reviewed, priced and confirmed by our team before anything becomes binding. This reflects our obligations under UK GDPR Article 22 on automated decision-making.
5. Accuracy and transparency
AI-generated content can contain errors. Where material shown to you is AI-generated — such as a draft proposal — we present it as illustrative and subject to review, not as an offer capable of acceptance. If anything in an AI-generated document looks wrong, tell us and a person will correct it.
6. Security and retention
Data sent to AI systems travels over encrypted connections and is subject to the same access controls, retention periods and deletion practices described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Governance and change
New AI features are reviewed against this policy before launch. As our use of AI evolves, we will update this policy and, where a change meaningfully affects how your data is used, tell you before it takes effect.
8. Contact
